I did a simple 2 turn track. Leg 1 was 110 yards with scent pads at 25 and 75. Right turn. Leg 2 was 100 yards with a scent pad at 25 and article at 50. Left turn. Leg 3 was 75 with a scent pad at 25.
I kept steady pressure but let Saber do her thing. First leg was good. She found both scent pads. She would drift to the left of the track, serpentine across it and you would see a head snap back to it.
She overshot the turn and was tracking about 3 feet to the left of the actual track. I fought the urge to correct her because I know I have to trust her. She missed the scent pad but hooked into the article. The next turn their was a clear loss of scent. Here I had to trust her since it was dark when I put the track in so my line up was questionable. I thought she was off on this but she found the scent pad the article.
Tomorrow I am going to try to get to class a little early to put in 2 starts to run after class. They will only get to age an hour - hour and half. Saber knows her just and I trust her to do it so Sunday should be fun.
