I was going to try and play catch up with tracks and videos, but I'm not so this is where we are.

Saber 12/7/2025

Kersey Creek ES

Age: 1.5 hours

Length: 225 yds

Weather: 38 degrees, Sunny

I really liked a couple of things on this track. The first thing that I liked is when Saber got distracted and started scent touring (1st turn, tree on island), I told her to get back to work and she did. The second thing that I liked is I see her confidence building on the hard surface. I would still like her to be bolder and more committed on the hard surface. I think this was a step in the right direction. She made a nice turn on the asphalt. After the turn she had a moment of this is hard and drifted toward the island with vegetation (safety). Then she found an article and perked back up. Good finish.

I did not feed her at the first article. I did have restart cookies after the articles. I did feed her at the second article on the asphalt because I felt her drive drooping and I wanted her to finish strong. I am trying to wean off of feeding her at ever article. Saber enjoys rewards and I enjoy rewarding her. Its a vicious cycle.

I did not love her start. We need to throw those into the rotation. Overall, I was pretty happy with this. I wish I had time to age it a little longer, but something is better than nothing.

Syd 12/8/2025

Holly Ridge Farm

Article Track with an open right turn

3 cloth articles, 2 metal articles, 2 plastic articles, and 2 leather articles (randomized on the track

Weather: 32 degrees, overcast

Age: none

I did not really have time to age the track, so it seemed like the perfect day to do an article track. Each of the articles were 15 or 20 steps apart - mostly 20.

Syd did great! The only article he really struggled with was a thin piece of green leather. He even got the metal square on grass without assistance. He initially went past the turn, but showed a clear loss of scent, made a circle and found the track.
