Cover: Leaves and sticks and things

Age: 1 hr 15 min

Tracklayer: myself

Scuff 10, walk 20 with articles on the 15 every other iteration of the pattern. I was suppose to use 10 articles but ended up using 9 - so I didn't lose one Judi. It got lost in my pocket - oops. Every other article had food.

I thought her tracking was excellent. She really seems to like the woods. I thought she was off the track after the turn but she was on it. Glad I trust my dog or we would be lost.

Her article indication was 6 out of 9. The leather square she stopped at and grabbed the pin (does that count as a 10th article?). She completely missed article 7 or maybe she tracked over it and I missed it but there was not pause to even tell her down. She tracked directly over the last two (and article 8 had hot dogs!) and again no pause to ask for the down. So we have work to do - Saber article indication, Kelly keeping correct track of how many articles are out🤦‍♀️

love that you recognize this problem early, so lots of time to address it. She really did ‘tackle’ the woods…..😂🤣😂🤣. The turn was spectacular. I’d suggest (& im sure you already know this), that the minimum number of articles for any track she does is 3–even a short, straight track. We really want her to appreciate their value. Don’t be unwilling to take the time to play tug/toss with each of them, just make sure you also train a solid ‘out’ or ‘trade’ at the same time. Fletch & I play tug and practice our ‘trade’ about 5 times per article—and that’s after he has downed on it. Another option is to always have a unique and favorite toy abo…
