I put in a short track when I got home from hunting. I used the front hay field and had round bales for line ups. The track was:

  • Leg 1 50 yards, single food drop around 30, 90 degree left turn

  • Leg 2 50 yards, single food drop around 25. Article on the turn. Open left

  • Leg 3 47 yards, single food drop around 15. Final article had food and was lightly tucked under a round bale.

Saber had a good start and first leg. She was a little bit of a corner cutter on the first turn. Then she started to meander a bit. I could actually see the article (white cloth) and line up so I am fairly certain I was on the track. I just stood until she would take a few steps forward. That leg was not pretty. At one point she stopped to look at me and I backed up and got her to start again. Once she got the the article she was back in the game. She sat (vs. down). I did give her a treat. Then she picked up the track perfectly and finished really strong. She did down at the last article.

Sunday I am going to do the in and out of the woods.
