I was really happy with Saber's track. I had Matt do food or article every 50, which he did correctly this time. Saber checked a little to right and then committedly made the correct left hand turn. I am allowing her more opportunities to check things and dismiss now that I am consistently seeing tracking behavior. In addition to our reoccurring theme of VST articles not sparking joy for Saber, I need to work on picking up the stupid flat things.

My absolute FAVORITE moment of our track was when Saber saw another dog and a guy playing basketball at the same time and when I asked her to go back to work she did. Our end was not as strong as it should have been but the fact she went back to work with bouncing ball in her sights elated me. So I'm calling it a win.

Syd may be suffering from adolescence or second (third?) child syndrome. Or he could be getting the shaft as his training gets thrown in randomly around Saber's. In any case we are going to take a few steps back.

I put two approximately 50 x 50 tracks. Food every 20, scuff in and out of the turn.

There was some tracking that was okay. There was a lot of distraction and I would guess some air scenting. Track 1 he had a huge right drift, I should have stopped earlier than I did. He needed help with the turn. I shortened the line and gave him less leeway on the second leg, which worked for the most part. He did stop at one point because I wouldn't let him meander but he did restart.

Track 2 he acted like he had no idea what the game was at the start. Apparently there was something fascinating in the woods. Once he started tracking he was a little more on it than he was in track 1. He still likes to serpentine across the track. I am trying to acclimate to his style but its hard. He wanted to be a corner cutter, which I didn't allow. He ended up making a decent turn. I think he keyed in visually on the last article. He does have very nice article indications.
