Location: Holly Ridge Farm

Weather: 52 degrees, Sunny, wind ESE 9 mph with 17 mph gusts, 49% humidity

Cover: Grass

Length: 300 yds

Age: 3 hrs 40 min

Tracklayer: Kelly

Track Design: 60 yard legs. Articles on each turn. Food drop at 15 on legs 2 and 4. Food in final article.

My plan was to not feed Saber on the track at all. I ended up rewarding her at the first two articles. The first because she picked it and was going to breeze by it. The second because she was still being blase about her article indication without a reminder. The rest of the track I did not because the whole plan was that restarts after finding an article and not getting rewarded other than from the track on legs 2 and 4.

Really I was quite pleased with her. Her start was good after investigating something VERY interesting near the start. She did tight little serpentines on some legs but was pretty true to the track. She indicated all her articles by mouthing them. We need to work on our downs again. This is probably the best she has done on a track this old, although it was not an overly complicated track.

Love the age, and great thought process on articles.
