Saber

350 yards, grass/woods

Time run: 3:45 pm, Age 1 hr 20 min

Articles: Cloth, metal square, leather square, and plastic circle

Saber made easy work of this track. Her article indications were good. Apparently metal is more interesting in the grass than on a sidewalk. The end was a little wonky because I was going to exit the woods, but was blocked by a walk of briars. So I backed up and made a little left and ended the track. Saber was going to bust through the briars. I did stop her. I'm sure she would have realized and backed up but the whole reason I stopped going through was I didn't have the right clothes and I didn't want to rip my favorite tights. So she got a little assist there but it was purely out of love for my running tights.

Syd

2- 50 x 50 is 1 turn tracks

10 scuff, 10 walk

Time run: 2:15, Age 30 minutes

The first track I put in was 100% on prickles. I noticed some but did not realize the extent when putting in the track. I noticed enough that I made sure I walked to green grass and no prickles for track 2.

Syd gave it the old college try, but I abandoned the first track. He looked miserable but really wanted his hot dogs.

Track 2 was much better. He did lay down on his turn to lick his paws. It may have also been a human shaming technique for the first track. He still wants to serpentine down the track. If you limit forward progress too much he will sit and stop working. I am trying to balance straightness and forward. His article indications are great.
