Saber's track transitioned between grass and concrete several times. I had an idea of what I wanted to put in but did not pre-plot it. I will avoid that in the future because the track design and laying of the track a had flaws I would like to avoid.
The track started in the grass going to the school. I went on to the sidewalk and turned right. There was food drop at 50 after the turn on the sidewalk. Saber did this part well. She got onto the side walk, crossed it, showed a clear loss of scent, checked other directions and then took the turn with confidence. I had food far enough down the track to reward her without feeling like I was luring her through the turn. After this my track laying went off the rails. Ooops.
The next turn was at a sidewalk corner cutting through the grass at an angle. I think this was a hard turn. I should have put a food drop after the turn but I did not. Saber got there, initially indicated she wanted to go into the grass. Choose not to and searched around. Started going up the sidewalk kind of in the right direction. I ended up helping her. Once she was back on the track we were back in business. After reviewing the video. I should have let her work up the sidewalk along the building further to see if she would have righted herself. This is also where I saw she initially was dead on the turn before back tracking. It was a poorly placed turn and lacked augmentation.
She found the article on that leg and worked back on to the concrete fine. She checked out some chalk and dismissed it. 1 year old Saber might have taste tested it. She was to the left of the track but worked her way back to the actual track and found her metal article. After this I had another poorly placed turn back into the grass. I helped her too much on this turn. But at this point I was not loving the design of the track. She finished strong and her article indications showed improvement.

Syd had two straight tracks with food every 5 steps. He is like tracking a drunken sailor.
