I wanted to incorporate some asphalt into a track. I tried to put the hard stuff at the beginning.
Saber started well. She entered the asphalt with confidence which quickly waned. You could see her lack of confidence/knowledge as she bounced between food drops and wanted to check out other areas. She made the turn without guidance. There was food to draw her that way.
Once back on the sidewalk, I liked what I saw. Her next turn was picture perfect. She did very well on the sidewalk and brick of this leg.
Her next turn which was on dirt/veg was not spectacular. She blew past it and once I saw she wasn't going to show a loss of scent and look I backed up about 10-15 yards before the turn and we tried again. The second attempt she took it without hesitation. I think she was following her nose the first go but not on the scent I wanted.
She sat for her article indications, but they were all good and unprompted.
