Location: Holly Ridge Farm

Weather: 39 degrees, sunny, N wind 2-6 mph, 49% humidity, 21 degree dew point

Cover: Grass pasture

Age: 4 hours, 40 minute cross tracks

Tracklayer: Kelly

I was very happy with Saber - let's be real, she rarely disappoints me. Her start had some zig zagging, which is not as strong as I would like but it was a 4 hour track and warm. We will work on aged starts. She blew right past the first cross track and indicated her article.

Note from Judi - she had a nice head pop on the turn. I did not notice it as much in the moment - maybe because I knew where the track was? I thought she worked around some of the turns a bit but that is not unusual for her.

Second cross track she check left but made her own decision to keep going and had another good article indication. The third cross track she again check out a little but kept going. Another good article indication. I also gave her water, which she drank.

The last cross track I pushed her across a little more. She is more interested in them as she gets tired. I had dropped a flag and did not have a flag for the last turn so I dropped cookies on the turn. She found them and finished strong.

Judi's comments: Stupendous! Giving up the cross track on her own. And next time move the articles 5-10 yards further out.
